Leadership Development & Assessment

I took my first Management role at the Four Star Saunton Sands Hotel in England at the age of 19. Following some time working across departments and Assistant and Deputy manger roles in other Brend Hotels, I returned to Saunton as Hotel Manager at the age of 24. The hotel at that time employed 150 staff and I had six Heads of Department reporting to me…one of whom was my Father.

I learned a lot about leadership in those years that have stayed with me ever since. It was during this time that I first became formally involved in Learning & Development when we became the first privately owned hotel group in England to win the Investors in People Award.

Fast forward to today and my passion for developing people and performance has seen me working with organisations across various industry sectors and of various sizes in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China and the UK.

I am Accredited Leading Practitioners with MLQ International, the provider of some of the MLQ Internationalworld’s leading leadership assessment tools. I find that these complement DISC well, taking the learnings a leader can make to a higher level.

By utilising a thorough assessment process, I make sure the leader(s) truly understand how their current style impacts on the performance and retention of talent in their business and then, what changes in behaviour they can make to address this.

Be it through one-on-one coaching and/or leadership team development, I tailor leadership development programs to suit the needs of the business and the participants.
